…just think, a few weeks ago…
…..many people thought someone who worked at a groccery store or did Amazon delivery was a “loser” who didn’t make much of themselves. Now, these people are being hailed as heroes as we can see how important though low status such jobs are. All the boujee office workers are crying “the world is ending” whilst they “work” from home whereas people in financially precarious jobs often without health benefits are doing the “heavy lifting.”
As someone whose done time in a delivery van, yeah the piss bottle stories and bald tires are true… I laugh when a bigot like David Futrelle or Amanda Marcotte tells a low status man such as myself that I am “privileged.”
