Rapey Wakey….

Well, I was over at the always interesting Gendererratic where Typhonblue quotes a disturbing article.

“My very best vagina friend sleeps in quite late. In the hours I’ve spent lying next to her staring at the wet spot she’s unknowingly making I have become fascinated with her morning arousal. Sometimes she’ll cover her vag with her hands in her sleep because she knows I’ll try to play with it.”

then…

“This is going to sound quite rapey, but this morning wetness leaves women in an unusually vulnerable state. They’re sedated with sleep and last night’s scotch with a vagina as moist as a towelette. I could plop myself on top and fuck her for a whole minute before she even wakes up and knows what’s happening.”

and…

“Crawl under the sheets and start licking while your woman is still sleeping. She’ll slowly wake up and be confused, but happy because it is scientifically impossible for a women to be annoyed while there’s a tongue on their clit.”

This makes me a bit queasy. Maybe like someone’s boundaries are being pushed. Hell, unless there was a discussion beforehand like “Oh, honey, while I’m asleep, you can just go for it” this seriously sounds like someone is being taken advantage of. How can someone who is asleep even say what someone else is doing is okay? At least an awake person is giving non-verbal if subtle cues. Man, this sounds even sketchier than what Roosh V might write. I’m pretty sure that there are gonna be some angry reactionary articles by the likes of Mr. Manboobz, Hugo Schwyzer, Amanda Marcotte and the other self appointed defenders of truth, justice, equality and everything ™. Hesitantly, I go check the source article:

“….My very best penis friend sleeps in quite late. In the hours I’ve spent lying next to him staring at the tent he is unknowingly pitching I have become fascinated with morning wood. Sometimes he’ll cover his peen with his hands in his sleep because he knows I’ll try to play with it. The proper term is nocturnal penile tumescence. It is associated with REM sleep, which occurs the most in the morning.”

then…

” This is going to sound quite rapey, but morning wood leaves men in an unusually vulnerable state. They’re sedated with sleep and last night’s scotch with a penis as upright as the Empire State Building. I could plop myself on top and fuck him for a whole minute before he even wakes up and knows what’s happening.”

and…

“….Time to take advantage of that nocturnal penile tumescence! It’s best to ease into it with a nice blow job. Men can’t say no to head, they just can’t. I guarantee every guy you know has gotten a BJ from a questionable fat chick at some point; once you put a penis in a mouth there’s just no turning back.”

Wait, what-the “victim” in this tale is a penis owner? O.M.G., Typhonblue, you tricked us!!! Men are raging boners first and human a far distant second. Men can’t be raped, donchya know. And, it’s not as if this stupid worthless guy would be on hook for child support for 18 years if this non consensual sex act results in an “accidental” pregnancy. Cuz if it did, well, you can thank the feminists, because donchya know, they marched for men’s rights to a paper abortion at the same time they marched for women’s rights to murder a fetus. —Insert Flashing Sarcasm button borrowed from the Manboobz bigot here—

  1. I’m starting to wonder if it’s even possible to have a male-only space that isn’t hostile to women. And contrary to popular belief, this isn’t because I think any gathering of men will inherently turn misogynistic, rather the opposite.

Any space that isn’t completely alienating to women will eventually be …. “invaded” (for lack of a better term) by women, who will then insist that it conform to their sensibilities. Look at Geek culture for example.

You can see this happening in places like The Good Men Project. Most of their readers are women, a good percentage of their articles are not even remotely about men, and another significant percentage are about how men’s lives affect women. And even when the article is about men… often it is written by a woman.
